“I paint from thought and feeling
with unknown depth
in truth, in trust, each time anew. I paint stories from everywhere: new discoveries in distant lands and right before my own door. Often I fetch them from far within my thoughts.
Special people and children sometimes recognize me on my return and call out, ‘My friend, my friend!’
Different countries, each in their own way. I see the light and joy of the world. I discover step by step, never planned, often getting lost — but perhaps that is just another way.
When I return home, I fill my days with colours and images coming to life. Details fill spaces I thought forgotten. And soon, another opportunity will lead me on new paths, with new paint waiting patiently until I am back home.”
